After looking at previous print products. I have identified some of the conventions of hit man film posters.
- There must be a focal image that draws the audiences attention.
- the title is in a large eye catching font
- you can see what genre it is by just looking at it
- there is a day that the film is going to be released
- information of the directors and film company at the bottom of the poster
As you can see from the film posters above they are all very similar in the way they look. They all seem to follow the conventions of a hit-man film. They all have some sort of weapon in the picture weather it is a gun of a bon and arrow. the mise-en-scene for these posters seems to be dark clothing to give the mystery for the film. Not only this but in all of the images the facial expressions are straight and have no emotion on them. there always only ever seems to be one person in the image and if there is two like in the film poster the wanted one of them is more involved in the picture then the other. The background of these images is very dark to reinforce the mystery behind the film. After looking at these films posters i will follow the conventions that are shown and also make sure that i have a clear centre image with a weapon in and for the main character to have a straight face.
